What Is Paxaid?
Paxaid is a unique blend of herbs that was developed in 1997 to help aid your dog in the fight against the deadly Parvo virus. This completely organic formulation contains 4 anti-microbials that assists the immune system to fight against the Parvo virus. Additionally, Parvaid contains three herbs that calm the stomach to relieve vomiting and diarrhea often associated with the virus. Paxaid also contains two herbs that help your dog’s body build up its immune system. Dogs usually show a significant improvement in their symptoms within 2-3 days with the use of Paxaid. In addition to its tremendous usefulness against the Parvovirus, Parvaid has shown supportive use against other intestinal issues such as general and nonspecific gastrointestinal problems, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and building of the immune system. Paxaid has also been known to help with symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea caused by environment changes, vomiting and diarrhea caused by diet, ease travel discomfort and gas.
How Do I Know If My Dog Is Suffering From Parvo?
Parvo is a virus that initially attacks the lining of the digestive system, and prevents dogs and puppies from absorbing nutrients or liquids. Puppies are especially prone to Parvo because they have an immature immune system. When dogs and puppies contract Parvo, symptoms usually begin with depression and loss of appetite.
Secondary symptoms appear as severe gastrointestinal distress, such as:
Vomiting
Bloody diarrhea (dark brown runny stools, color of brick)
High fever
Lethargy
Dehydration
Shock
Death can follow
Paxaid Can Be Administered Before the Onset of Parvo
Paxaid may be used as a preventative if you have reason to believe your dog has been exposed to Parvo. When Parvo is introduced into the body, it finds a way into the glands of the animal and incubates. Eventually the virus will leave the gland and work its way into the intestinal tract where it will begin the process of eating away the lining causing symptoms. This usually takes anywhere from 3 to 15 days (average 3 days). If Paxaid is introduced before the virus reaches the intestinal tract nine times out of ten Parvaid will help the dog fight off the virus making it look as if Parvo never existed.
Amber Naturalz's Life Cell Support is a Detox that can help Detox the virus from the lymphatic system. Amber Naturalz has found that if given Life Cell Support and Vibactra Plus the puppy has a greater chance of not coming down with the virus. If the puppy has a compromised immune system (vaccination, worming, super infection past illness) the puppy will most likely develop Parvo. However, if given Parvaid as a preventative the puppy will not become as sick as if the puppy did not have the products.
Paxaid has a shelf life of 4 years or longer and has been used as a preventative supplement in your dog’s diet or as a protocol for other issues such as vomiting, diarrhea, bad breath and gas.
Paxaid has been known to help with the SYMPTOMS of other issues such as extreme vomiting, diarrhea, E-Coli, distemper, Coccidia and Giardia.
Dosage
General dosing is based on the weight of the dog. Typically a 1 oz bottle of Paxaid and Vibactra Plus would take care of 2 - 3 dogs, based on weight and how long it takes to rid the virus. Some dogs pull out with in a couple of days while others may take a week or more. Depends on the immune system. Click on the guide below for full details. The shelf life of these products is four years.
Puppies
You can give the Pax as a preventative to new pups by giving it to the mother (but not before they are born). It will come through the milk.
Give 2x/day if no sign of Parvo or not in an area exposed to Parvo. If in an exposed area, give 4x/day to the mother. Once the pups are weaned from the mother, give directly to the pup. If they show any sign of Parvo such as lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, give hourly immediately. You can give Vibactra Plus to the mother also 2x/day. Once weaned from mother, give 2x/day to the pups. If any signs, give 3 - 4x/day.
